Almost all my free time I spent on visiting memorials, cemeteries, battlefields, ceremonies, relicts and so on from the Great War and WW2. What interests me most is the story behind the gravestone. I'd like to put a face on every stone; every soldier had a past, a family...Why, where and how did he offer his future? I know what it means not being able to visit the grave of a family-member as the grave is unknown. It causes a permanent miss, a wound that stays unhealed. Saying 'goodbye', 'thanks', 'I miss you, mate' is important. If I can help someone healing that wound by a simple picture of a name on a stone this will be done with great pleasure and much respect. Nationality does not matter, in death and mourning we all are brothers !
