I have been doing family research for almost 20 years, my late grandmother got me interested in it with stories of her childhood. I have a deep attachment to and fondness for the state of Georgia. Every one of my ancestors has roots there and every family line made their home in Georgia at one time or another. Prior to 1800 my family was living in South Carolina where most either emigrated from the British Isles, or moved from North Carolina. I have one line of enslaved ancestors who originated from the western coast of Africa, most likely from Mali or Nigeria.

I am passionate about recording the graves and burials of those who are in danger of being lost and forgotten.

I welcome edits and messages from family and friends of the people who's memorials I created. I honor and cherish each of their lives and will be thrilled to pass on management of their memorials to their family. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any edits, additional information, or requests for transfer. I do not mind out-of-guideline requests because that means the person is being cared for and remembered.

You are welcome to any information or photos that I post on memorials. We do not "own" the past, the past is for everyone. I do research to bring our ancestors back to life and what joy would there be in keeping those lives to myself? What's mine is yours. I only ask that if I have received permission from another person to use their photo, that you respect the original owner and credit the photo appropriately with their name.
