Bio

I was born and raised in Du Quoin, Illinois. I have been a resident of Southwest Missouri for the past 23 years. I am a retired Industrial Engineer. I was always aware of my ancestry on one side of my family. The other side would not talk about past family. Records were not in written word, just stories repeated. Each time the story was told, something was added or taken away. Now thru the effort of FIND A GRAVE and the census, I have been able to track a great-grandfather back four generations. At this point in my life, I know more about him than I ever knew. I hope to preserve that history of family for others, before it is lost.

My family search includes: Brewner, MacDonald, Yancey, Thorpe, Eubanks, Hampton, Fenton, Eater

My wife's family search includes: Scott, Barron. Trefftzs, Dehne, Hurst, Gaerig, Federer, Black

One year into FAG. Thanks to all of you who have created so many memorials. You have made my search of family members much easier. I have no interest in creating a great number of memorials, only the ones I may know or know something about. My interest is in finding families, linking together, adding information such as dates and places, and filling in the memorials that have been missed.
