Henry began his work as an amateur genealogist in 2001. The primary focus of his research has been the family lines of his parents, but he has also researched family history for other affiliated families. His research revealed several ancestors who served in King Philips War, the French and Indian War, the American War for Independence, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. His research also recovered lost connections to Mayflower passenger ancestors on both the Livingston and Crittenden families. Livingston ancestors include John Alden, Priscilla Mullins, William Mullins, Stephen Hopkins and Constance Hopkins; Crittenden ancestors include John Tilley, Joan Hurst, Elizabeth Tilley, and John Howland.
