As a child, I was always facinated with cemeteries & tombstones. Curious about the people who had are now gone, wishing for a way to know their story.. As I started a family of my own I had to let my curiosity be to take care of my children. Now they're older and starting to spread their wings, so I can allow for my own time again!

I did an online search for my grandfathers military service and came across a picture of his headstone here. When I requested another family members headstone and someone tried to help me right away, it inspired me to try to pay it forward to help others.

I don't know where all of my family is yet, but I am learning as I go. I see there are a lot of requests for images in the area that I live; and even more headstones not even photographed that someone would probably appreciate having someday.. So I will do what I can, as I am able.

I can spend hours in a cemetery and feel completely at peace. Oddly enough, it's the one place in the world where I don't worry about all the regular things in life; such as bills or doctors; etc... I often find myself pulling the grass & weeds away from the flat gravestones that the mowers don't trim around.. I think I need to start keeping a pair of hand trimmers in my trunk for trimming around the stones and a small dust-broom.

In regards to the images that I put on this site;
