I first became interested in genealogy when my DIL invited me to attend a genealogy seminar with her at Corpus Christi University. My memory often fails these days, however, the title that day still lingers on!!! "CITE YOUR SOURCES"!
Many times in the coming years I found myself tugged to the past while we lived in Montana and I became friends with the Fairview City SecretaryTreasurer. Jean' was a converted Mormon and as such she was always searching for more information on her BARR Ancestry......That really caught my attention, having been married to one for the last nineteen years! I learned a great deal from friend Jean ISBEL Lanouette and we both felt like like we were related through the Barrs although we were never able to prove it before she passed away.
After my DIL sent me a copy of the LANGDON Cemetery at Cotton Plant, MO I was so
excited that I decided to “pay it forward” so to speak and compiled all the cemeteries in
and around the area. As I ventured further afield Danny, my friend husband, joined me on my cemetery stompings so as to keep me company and also to be my protector just
in case I disturbed any wild creatures or ghosts and goblins along the way!
