As far back as I can remember I have been fascinated with old cemeteries. I think often, when doing my genealogy how it must have been using horse and buggy, rather than a limo. Like having the service at the home of the loved one who has passed or at the cemetery with all their loved ones and friends gathered around. Years ago my aunt Rosemary did our genealogy and passes it out to the family, and now I realize what a treasure I had and never appreciated it. The hurricane came along and everything was lost, but it never dawn on me what I lost. Now I know what I lost, trying to redo my genealogy for my grandson. So much of my history is lost forever no one to tell me of their travels here from Germany and Ireland. What it was like years ago on their journey here did they come by boat maybe, or maybe a wagon train like the old TV show RAWHIDE. I had my chance and now it’s gone, so it’s up to me to share what I remember. Just REMEMBER it’s never too late.
