My name is Karen Jensen; granddaughter of Peter E and Bertha M Jensen. I was born in Salem, and live in the house that Grandpa built in 1922. He was a farmer, blacksmith, mason, pretty much a jack of all trades. He and Grandma came from Denmark and originally settled in St. Helens, Oregon. They eventually bought 40 acres in the Gervais area and farmed it along with their children. I am looking for any information about their early days; as far back as when they checked into Ellis Island.
