I am a descendant of SOME of the founders of the Odom community..last names Hall , Odom and Powell. The information about the cemetery is incorrect , my GG Grandfather is there , he was a Confederate soldier , he was born in 1842 and died in 1918, he was married to Ann Elizabeth Odom , they had several children , one of them , my Great Grandmother Mary Catherine Lewis Hall, my Grandfather James Benjamin Hall, his brother Jacob T, Lewis was married to Mary Odom , Jacob died during the war , from " disease" and Mary went on to marry George Washington Croft and they are both buried in Palestine , Tx.
I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy because of my great great Grandfather being a Confederate soldier.Another ancestor buried there is Randol Odom and he was born in 1804 died 1885.
