John Alexander Hayden Justice was adopted by his step dad and now has Justice as his surname. He was born in San Francisco and grew up in Denver, Colorado, where he graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1961. He next graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1965. He served in the Air Force for 26 years in B-52 flight Operations, Headquarters Strategic Air Command as a staff officer, and Air Force Systems Command as a scientific officer and manager. He secured masters degrees in engineering physics and business management while on active duty. He retired in 1991 and joined The Boeing Company as an Engineering manager for 22 years, specializing in secure, survivable satellite communications, retiring in 2014. Currently he ranches with angus cattle, angora goats and Saanen dairy goats.
