I've been interested in genealogy since I was child and was able to learn about stories of my ancestors from some of the family books that were written in the 70s and 80s. I am constantly amazed at what rich resources are available online while delving into the family tree. My father's families were Norwegian immigrants and my mother's families were Colonial American so different genealogy skills are required depending upon which side of the family I'm attempting to add to. I feel deep roots connecting me to southern rural MN as I live on a sesquicentennial family farm but I also love to travel as well. A highlight was being able to visit Norway and see some of the farms of my ancestors before they emigrated.
