Some family graves have beautiful carved stones to remember them by,
and some have just been laid to rest. Look
There's an open gate at the end of the road.
Through which each must go alone.
And there is a light we cannot see
Our Father claims his own.
Beyond the gate our loved one,
Finds happiness and rest.
And there is comfort in the thought
That a loving God knows best
our Ancestor's rest in our Hearts.
The carved stone is what is left, scattered around the globe making them hard to visit,
now we can visit them from home. Not long ago they had no cameras for us to see their likeness, it is the stone that tells their story and whisper's they are still here, when we listen we will hear their songs of life, once again. I enjoy genealogy and linking the history of our families back together and telling their stories. I love finding photo's of the stone, and perhaps a picture of the dearly departed, Oh it puts flesh back on the bones. The documented information helps us find out who they were and who we are a part of.
If you have corrections or family linkages for a memorial, use Find A Grave's Edit tab. If you use an email, please include "Find A Grave" in the subject line and include the memorial number. Your ID# may be included with the update. Thanks,
