A note about Oak Hill Cemetery (Lawrence, KS): it was never known as "Lawrence City Cemetery". Third-party websites referring to a Lawrence City Cemetery database is referring to the database that includes Lawrence's 3 municipal cemeteries: Oak Hill, Memorial Park, and Maple Grove, none of which have ever been referred to as "Lawrence City Cemetery".

KUMC Burials: Most years, KUMC gave the communal grave a marker with the burial year on it rather than the year(s) the donors actually died. Some years they did the opposite and put the year(s) the donors died and not the burial year (mostly earlier years from the 60s and 70s). So there may be some inconsistencies in this dating system. Every marker is triple verified personally by me with the interactive map.

As of March 2021, the Interactive Map for the Lawrence cemeteries has not been updated due to a new system being implemented (not sure what that means exactly). As of August 2022, a spokesperson for the cemeteries said they're still not sure when the new system would be up and running. Any burials after March 2021 will not be in the old interactive map but can be located manually by calling the cemetery office at (785) 832-3450, option 8. All of those new burials will be in the new system once it is up and running.
