What started out as curiosity has turned into an obsession to learn more about my ancestors. My whole life I never knew where I came from except for where I was born in Washington St and my immediate family and grandparents. What I have found is, the more I know, the more questions I have about my ancestors and the lives they lived. Most of the time I have only found a date born, date died and their names, sometimes there is a precious snippet of information that helps to immortalize that person. I now do photo requests for memorials located in Southern Nevada to help other people who are searching for the same on their families because I appreciate so much the help I have received searching my own. Knowing my family history has given me a different perspective on my life and answered so many questions I had that even my parents didnt know.I love Find-a-grave because its so easy to link everyone together and everyone has their own special place in their link in the family chain.I really wish I had a better relationship with my relatives still living, but they are busy with their own lives so far away from mine. My grandparents are Harry & Bernice Gardner and John Henderson & Nell Dills.(All buried in the same cemetery which is rare) I have been linking everyone together in the complex puzzle that is my family and posting pictures, stories and information so that one day my own kids, nieces & nephews can easily search their history from my side of their ancestry.
