Descendant of Christian Bauer/Veronica Spicler (Mathias Bowers/Catherine Hauck, John Henry Bowers Sr/Margaret Grogg, John Henry Bowers Jr/Clarissa Murdock, Emerson Dean Bowers/Charlotte Kerkove, Kenneth Paul Bowers/Freda Helen Williams, Mary Bowers/Lynn Dill). My sister (Helen Bowers Kerkove) researched the Bowers' family history for over 40 years. She and an older brother who also worked on our family history both died in the past year and I have taken over as the genealogist. I haven't joined any of the genealogy groups that charge for info--I find the research to be a lot of fun (and rewarding when you finally find a source to verify info).
