Bio

On the American side: Descended from the Prentice, Cullom, Williamson, & McDonnell families in the New Orleans area.
On the Honduran side: descended from Bermudez, Navas, Meza, Matute, and Gardela.

Many generations ago on the American side:
descended from New England families including Prentice, Stanton, Denison, Borrodell, Hammond, Billings, Belcher, and Rudd. At least 4 of my 7x great-grandfathers served in the military protecting colonists in the late 1600s.

In the Revolutionary War, my 3x GGF Jesse Prentice seems to have been like Forrest Gump. While he himself doesn't seem to have been noteworthy, the places he served were. As a member of the Connecticut volunteers, he was at the Battle of Bunker Hill, the siege of New York, the Battle of Trenton (where Washington crossed the Delaware and captured the Hessians), and the Battle of Yorktown that ended the war.
I have found many other ancestors' graves, but not Jesse. He died in Preston, CT in July 1812 but I haven't been able to find him on findagrave.
