Bio

In 1998 I was infected from the bite of a bug the CDC refuses to study even though the spread of it's infectious bite has been classified an epidemic, affecting many people worldwide. Okay, okay I'm only kidding. It's the Genealogy Bug however, once you're bitten there is no cure.

As my interest and scope for researching my family history broadened I found myself in places . . . cemeteries etc., I never considered information depositories. Thirty-five year in law enforcement (Patrol Division, Evidence Technician, Forensic Services Div/CSI) enabled me to develop investigative skills that have assisted me in solving many of my unanswered questions.

When becoming a member of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club I had to choose a riding name for myself before the membership chose one for me. After carefully considering several names over a period time I came up with one that pleased me. Researching my family history was the inspiration for who I now call myself. The death certificates for my great grandmother Ida, born 1875 and her grandmother Matilda, born 1838 indicate that they are buried in Morgan County Georgia however, the cemetery where they're buried weren't stated. My endeavor to pay my respects to them has lead to my conducting personal surveys of many African-American cemeteries of Morgan County, in search of their grave sites. It seems the name was revealed to me by Ida and Matilda, each perched on a shoulder each whispering in my ear half of the name. When I informed my club's membership of the name I chose they responded, Ohoooooooo! As Walter Cronkite would say at the end of his newscast . . .

"And that's the way it is"

I'm GRAVE HUNTER
