Joannes, or Jan, Nadolinski was born on Feb. 27, 1865 in Jeziorzany, Gniezno, Poland, according to the original records in Poland.
[Note: At the time of his birth, Jeziorzany was in the province of Poznan (Posen).]
His parents were Valentinus (Walter) Nadolinski and Marcianna Malczewska.
Jeziorzany is one of several very small villages, and the nearby village of Dziekanowice is where the Catholic church is.

Jan's father Valentinus Nadolinski was born in Slawno in 1801 and died in Jeziorzany Feb. 17, 1869. (His first wife was Marianna Jarzyna b. July 1, 1810 in Waliszewo. The two had four children before she died on June 2, 1860 in Jeziorzany.)

Valentinus was a widower when he married Jan's mother, Marcianna Malczewska in 1860 in Slawno, Gniezno, Poland.
(Marcianna Malczewska was born in about 1842 in Zakrzewo, Gniezno to parents Martin Malczewski and Barbara Zalewska. After her husband Valentinus died, on May 23, 1869 she married Valentinus Kwapiszewski and had several more children. She died December 8, 1884 in Siemianowo.)

Jan was the youngest of five siblings. After he immigrated to the U.S., lived in Elba, Nebraska near his sister Mary Nadolinski Panowicz and his older half brothers from his father's first marriage, Stanley Nadolinski and Joseph Nadolinski. His sister Antonina Nadolinski Wozniak immigrated to Omaha, Nebraska the same year that Jan died in Elba, Nebraska.
