OBITUARY:
Leon Crawford died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on November 30, 2012. He was born in Statesville, North Carolina, and moved to Huntsville in the early 1960's. He started his career in Huntsville as a banker, and then worked in the Huntsville real estate market for over forty years as a broker and real estate instructor. He also was a former Huntsville city councilman and a former chairman of the Alabama Real Estate Commission. He volunteered his time generously in numerous real estate industry organizations and civic organizations throughout his career. The organizations he gave his time and efforts to over his life are too numerous to list. He was a member of the Chase Park Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Tabor Crawford and one son, Michael L. Crawford and his wife Lynn. He had two granddaughters, Mallory and Tara Crawford.
Services will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Tuesday December 4th. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, with a memorial service immediately following.
