Rosemary D. Bales, 95, of Kansas City, MO, passed away December 29, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2 at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO where the family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Parish, 815 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter Parish, Little Sisters of the Poor or Kansas City Hospice House. Rosemary was born January 19, 1917 in Kansas City, MO, to George and Jessie Dawes. She worked for the National Park Service and later joined her husband at Feightner & Bales Consulting Engineers. Rosemary was a longtime member of St. Peter Parish where she was active in the Altar Society, the Seniors Club and the Legion of Mary. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Bales; a sister, Lucille DiCanzio, and a brother, George Dawes. She is survived by her children, Eugene F. Bales and wife Deborah Bailey, Catherine A. Rihanek, Jerome V. Bales and wife Pamela, and Mary P. Goergen and husband Greg; grandchildren, Greg and Kevin Rihanek, Melissa Reidy, Doug Bales, Tim and Andy Goergen; nine great grandchildren; sister, Adelia Spann; many nieces and nephews.
