Alma (Franklin) Caudill was the daughter of Elzie and Mary "Polly" Ann (Sergent) Franklin. She married Joseph Caudill and they had seven children: Alice Caudill, Joseph Caudill, Jr., Betty Lou Caudill, Robert Caudill and Evelyn Jean (Caudill) Smith Self. Two children died in infancy: Alice and an unnamed female.

Mrs. Caudill dies

Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Franklin Caudill, 54, were conducted March 27 at the chapel of Blair Funeral Home by the Rev. Lloyd Pike and the Rev. Tensley Stamper. Burial was in Sandlick cemetery.

Mrs. Caudill died March 24 at a hospital in Lexington after a long illness. She was the wife of Joe Caudill and the daughter of Elzie Franklin and the late Mary Franklin. She was born at Craft's Colly.

Survivors besides her husband and father are three daughters, Mrs. Billie Wright, Franklin, Ohio; Betty Caudill and Mrs. Evelyn Smith, both of Middletown, Ohio; two sons, Junior Caudill, Middletown, and Bobby Caudill, Crawfordsville, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Bates, Seco; Mrs. Amy Orender, Jackson, Ohio, and Mrs. Allie Sikula, Detroit, Mich., and five grandchildren.
