Ballet Dancer. Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, he studied with the Danish Ballet school and in 1952 graduated into the company and became a principal in 1956. Rememberef as an amazing romantic dancer with a stunning technique. He performed many to the great roles of Petipa and Bournonville but he also created roles in Ashton's Romeo and Juliet (1955), Flindt's The Three Musketeers (1966) and in Von Rosen's Don Juan in 1967. He guested in companies abroad and was appointed artistic director of the RDB in 1978. Resigning in 1985 he worked as ballet master in the company until 1993. He was appointed a knight of Dannebrog in 1964.
