Professional Football Player. For eight seasons (1948 to 1954), he played at the defensive end and linebacker positions in the National Football League with the Washington Redskins. Born Joseph Peter Tereshinski, he attended Newport High School in Pennsylvania and played collegiate football at the University of Georgia. While with the Bulldogs, he played under Hall of Fame coach Wally Butts and was a contributor to the 1942 Georgia squad for which claimed part of the NCAA Championship. Signed by Washington during the 13th-round of the 1946 NFL Draft, he appeared in 86 regular season games.
