Stanley L. Hookman (Lt. Col., U.S.A.F., Ret.), age 88 passed away June 28, 2013. He was born December 8, 1924 in New York City to Joseph and Minnie (Tannen) Hookman. He was a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Stanley earned a Masters in Economics from the University of Colorado, taught at Holmes High School, San Antonio College, and St. Phillips College after his retirement from the military. He was beloved by many and will be missed by all. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn Kitty Hookman; son, Lawrence David Hookman and his wife Kim; grandchildren, Nathaniel David Hookman and his wife Sarah, Aaron Joseph Hookman, Adam Dean Hookman, and Daniel Sterling Hookman; sister, Gloria Seidman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Les and Susan Gamza, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Army Residence Community Chapel.
