BALDWYN– Robert J. "Bob" Green, 88, died Aug. 23, 2013, at his residence in the Pratts community. He was Born May 31, 1925, to Lynnie Cooper and James Milton Green. He resided in Byhalia, Memphis and the Pratts community until his death. He served his country during World War II and the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct medal, Asian Pacific Ribbon, Battlestar and Victory Ribbon (Japanese and Phillippine Occupation). He was retired from Gorden Trucking of Memphis. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a Gideon.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Neal Murphy and Bro. Toby Mears officiating. Burial will be in Pratt Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by neices, Sara Satterfield of Libertyville, Ill., Ladenis Lasseter of Renzi and Mary Tranin; and nephews, Jodie Mears, Toby Mears, Johnny Mears, William Mears, Joe Mears, all of Baldwyn and Howard Durham, Tim Green ,Terry Green, Gerald Felks, Paul Felks, David Felks and Edward Felks.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Isabel Green; and his parents.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
