Obituary - Mrs. Sarah A. Yarrington, wife of Captain George W. Yarrington, died at her home on Foster Avenue, Sayville, on Wednesday of an illness of long duration. She would have been eighty years old in October next. She was the daughter of Richard S. Davis, a farmer at Ronkonkoma, where she was born and brought up. She was converted to the Methodist Church sixty years ago at a religious revival which was held at Ronkonkoma. The decease married Capt. George W. Yarrington about fifty years ago, most of which they have spent in Sayville, where they reared their family. Their living children are Mrs. Oliver Dow of Islip, Mrs. Georgie King of Bayport, Mrs. Oscar Simonson of Sayville. Her living brothers are Stephen George, who still occupies the old Davis homestead at Ronkonkoma, Brewster Davis, of Connecticut. Her living sisters are Mrs. Emmeline Blydenburgh of Stony Brook, Mrs. Lucky Rhodes of Oakdale, and Mrs. Henrietta Hawkins of Ronkonkoma. Mrs. Yarrington was a woman of domestic tastes and a faithful wife and a devoted mother. The funeral took place at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from her late home.
