Elsie (Beck) Albrecht, age 96, died peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Whetstone Gardens. She was born December 6, 1916 in Marengo, OH, daughter of the late Williard and Mary Beck.

She was also preceded in death by
her sister, Mildred Speece;
niece, Judy Speece Creel.

She is survived by
her daughter, Phyllis A. Duy;
son, Roger (Dianne) Albrecht;
beloved grandchildren, Michael (Christian), Chris, Bubba and Jody;
great grandson, Lewis Albrecht;
her favorite nephew, Fred (Linda) Speece of Minneapolis;
five great grandnephews;
a growing number of great-great grand nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of North High School Class of 1933, and the proud chair of many Polar Bear reunions. She was a member of The Ohio State University's first graduating class of the College of Dentistry's Dental Hygiene program, and Past President of Alpha Kappa Gamma honorary sorority. She embraced living in Buckeye Country where she was recognized for her achievements in dental research at OSU. Memberships include The Women's Club of Wadsworth, Ohio, (Past President), The OSU Faculty Club, First Community Church, Group Y of the Women's Guild of FCC (Past President), Clintonville Women's Club, TWIG, Crazy Eight Bridge Buddies, Dollar Signs Investment Club and a life member of Eastern Star. Though her passports were filled with stamps, her most cherished trips were the last twenty New Year's Eves in Florida with three generations of family.
