Stage and Screen Actor. He was born in Santiago de Chile, when his parents, the actors José Vico and Asunción Camarero were in a stage tour. He was member of a long dinasty of stage actors and himself become one of the best spanish stage actors of the twenty century. He began his career in the 20s, with the company of Concha Catalá and later, Ernesto Vilches. Soon, he formed his own company along with his wife, actress Carmen Carbonell. He triumphed in plays such as "Dos Mujeres a las Nueve," "Yo Tengo Veinte Años" and "Aurora Negra." On screen, he debuted in the film "El Padre Juanico" (1923), but he is remembered for Ladislao Vajda's film "Mi Tío Jacinto" (1956). He was able to play both comedic and dramatic plays, and also appeared in "El Malvado Carabel" (1935), "Currito de la Cruz" (1935), "Novio a la Vista" (1953), "Marcelino, Pan y Vino" (1954) and "Por Un Puñado de Dólares" (1964). He was awarded in 1971, with the Premio Nacional de Teatro (Stage Spanish Award). He was the father of actor Jorge Vico (died in 1977) and grandfather of actor Antonio Vico Rodríguez.
