McCool, March 3, 1955 -- Services for Mrs. Bertha Amelia Andrews, 74, McCool, who died Saturday, 11 p.m. Saturday in Porter Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday in McCool Methodist Church.
Born in McCool, June 28, 1880, she was the daughter of James and Emily (Gaylord) Robbins. She was married April 2, 1903, in McCool to Albert Andrews, who preceded her in death.
A life-long Porter co.,resident, she was a member of the McCool Methodist church, the WSCS of the church, and the Portage Home Demonstration club.
Survivng are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Schlobohm of McCool; two brothers, Henry Robbins of Valparaiso and Chester Robbins of McCool, an a number of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. L. M. Reynolds officiated, and burial was in Robbins cemetery. Bartholomew Funeral hom, Valparaiso in charge of arrangements. Mrs. June Cole was organist, and Mrs. L. M. Reynolds was soloist.
Pallbearers were Robert Rowe, Carl Schultz, Harold Humes, James Robbins, Carl Schlobohm and Richard Samuelson.
