Rune Lindström has written three popular plays performed in Dalecarlia in the summers: "Himlaspelet" ("The play of heaven") played in Leksand every summer since 1949, "Skinnarspelet" ("The play of the skinners") and "Ingmarssönerna" based on the novel "Jerusalem" by Selma Lagerlöf. The first years "The play of heaven" was performed, Rune Lindström played Mats, the leading part. He has also written film scripts and lyrics.
