US Congressman. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he attended Northwestern University, also De Paul University and during World War I, served in the Students’ Army Training Corps at Loyola University in 1918. He graduated from Loyola University Law School in 1926, was admitted to the bar in 1927 and commenced practice in Chicago. In 1947, he was elected as a Republican to the Eightieth Congress and served until his death at age 50 in Bethesda, Maryland.
