BUD MERRIL BENSON Loved being with family and friends. Bud passed away at his home in Hayward, on October 29, 2005, he was 85. He is survived by his wife Nila Joyce, stepdaughter, Tina, first wife, Collene, son John and his wife Sue, and daughter in law Lorri. He also leaves brothers, Bobby and Alva and sister Thelma. He had 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Jimmy and sister, Connie. Bud was born in Utah, but spent most of his life in Hayward. He served in the Pacific in the Coast Guard during WWII and worked as shop foreman for 30 years at Crescent Truck Lines. Bud was an Elder in the Church and attended the Hayward Fourth Ward. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation Thursday November 3rd from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Santos-Robinson Mortuary 160 Estudillo Ave. San Leandro and Friday November 4th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the church. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 26101 Gading Rd. Hayward, burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward.
