Austrian Royalty. Born the daughter of Karl II of Inner-Austria and his wife Maria of Bavaria. She was married to Sigismund Bathory, ruler of Transylvania in 1595. The marriage was very unhappy and she was even imprisoned for some time by her husband. When the marriage was annulled by the Vatican in 1599 she returned to Vienna. Together with her sister Eleonore she entered a convent in Hall in 1607, where she became abbess in 1612.
