Actor. A native of London, England, he was the youngest son of a Royal Air pilot Daniel Frankel and his wife Grace. His grandmother was a pianist and his grandfather a violinist and conductor. He had his first professional acting role at the age of ten-years-old in London. He attended London's prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts on a full three-year scholarship. A month after graduation, he secured a part in TNT mini-series “A Season of Giants” competing for the lead role of Michelangelo over more than 80 actors in the screen-testing. Then he made his appearance in America on television in "The Fortune Hunter", "Sisters" and "Kindred the Embraced." His films were "Leon the Pig Farmer", "Solitaire for Two", "Young Catherine" and his last film in 1997 was "For Roseanna." He was a world-class championship tennis player on the international circuit, having won the Monte Carlo Open once. An avid motorcyclist, he enjoyed rebuilding vintage motorcycles and taking risks riding them. His life ended in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was married, and the father of two sons with the youngest being born after his death.
