Fredonia - Mrs. Lena M. Berger, 78, of Fredonia, Kansas died Sunday at her home. Mar 27, 1988.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bible Baptist Church of Fredonia, KS under the direction of the Timmons Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. The Rev. Max Dawson of the Bible Baptist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Berger was born March 10, 1910 in Wilson County, KS to Elvin and Bertha Jane (Certain) Butner.

On Sept 28, 1934 she married Charley Berger in Wilson County, KS. He survives at the home.

Mrs. Berger was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Fredonia, KS.

Other survivors include two sons, Earl Gene Berger, Farmington, N.M., and Larry C. Berger, Smithville, MO.; two sisters, Margaret Ward, Fredonia, KS, and Ella Williams, Fountain Inn, S.C.; and eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the Society of the Gideons.
