Wichita Eagle – Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas – October 3, 1917:
"Deaths and Funerals. ADAMS -- David B. Adams, 75 years old, died at his home, 524 South Vine street, Monday night after an illness lasting three months. He had lived in Kansas thirty-three years and came to Wichita from Kingman twelve years ago. He was a member of Friends church and served three years In the Civil war, enlisting at the same time his father did who was then 60 years old. He is survived by a wife and six children -- Harry of Redlands, Cal., Paris of Missoula, Mont., Howard, Lucy, Maude and Ruby, of Wichita. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning from the home and will be in charge of the Wichita Undertaking company."
