Professional Basketball Player. Harlem Globetrotter famous for his accurate free-throw. Using his underhanded style, Levitt made a record 499 consecutive free throws in 1935. Considered a free-throw expert, Globetrotters held halftime contests where he and a challenger would shoot 100 free throws. He was often challenged but never beaten. He toured with them for 4 1/2 years. Quaker Oats issued a trading card in 1954, commemorating his skill at the line. Standing at only 5'4", he was called "Bunny" because he was small and quick, a nickname given him by his mother. He was also part of the Illinois State Champion baseball team, Chicago Cubs Jrs., which was an all-left-handed team, including their left handed coach.
