After being recorded by several artists, the 1979 recording of the song by the group "Dr. Hook" reached Number 6 on the Popular Music charts. In the 1990s she co-wrote "Treat her Right" with singer-songwriter Lenny LeBlanc. It was recorded by the country music group "Sawyer Brown" and his rose to Number 3 in the Country Music charts in 1996. More than 150 of her songs have been recorded.
