Orchestra Conductor. He was born in Castro Urdiales, Santander. He studied in the Conservatory of Madrid, and after Spanish Civil War, he moved to Germany, where Carl Schuricht was his teacher. He was a recognized pianist and become the conductor of Radio National Orchestra of Spain and later National Orchestra of Spain,and triumphed with his concerts all around the world. Also he founded the Camera Orchestra of Madrid, and made several concerts in Paris and London with the famous pianist José Iturbi. He was member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and a known interpreter of Manuel de Falla's works. He died of a heart attack.
