Jim was an active funeral director for 57 years, serving as owner/operator of Minges Funeral Home in Harrison Ohio since 1989. He was a member of St. John the Baptist church in Harrison Ohio. He also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Signalman 1st Class, with two tours of duty in the South Pacific and Europe, including the battle of Normandy. He was a 50 year member of the Catholic Order of Forrester's Gonzaga Court 1572, Knights of Columbus, St. Issac Jogues, also a member of the Schwab Bailey Post 425, and was the Past President of the Oak Hills Kiwanis.
