Professional Football Player. He was a wide receiver for eleven seasons (1971 to 1981) in the National Football League with the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. His best year was in 1976 when he had 34 receptions for 779 yards with 6 touchdowns and was named to the Pro Bowl team. A versatile athlete, Jessie was an All-American long jumper at the University of Kansas. In 138 career games, Jessie had 265 receptions for 4,278 yards and 26 touchdowns. Cause of death: Heart Attack
