Mrs. America Ham and Mrs. Lucy Buchanan were greatly surprised by a large number of relatives and friends who gathered at the home of Mrs. Ham Friday afternoon and gave them a shower. It was Mrs. Ham's birthday, and Mrs. Buchanan had been invited to spend the day with her. So the two would be together for the shower. Many nice and useful presents were received, and a most enjoyable social hour was spent together.
[Note: Lucy Buchanan is America's sister-in-law, she was sister to her husband Jabez Ham.]
