Grandma was the 2nd of 3 children born to Dean and Fern Leavitt; a 4th child was later adopted. While visiting relatives in Salt Lake City, UT, she met Keith Rees. They were married in Salt Lake on Jan 22, 1946, and lived for the next 59 years in the town where she was born. To them were born 3 daughters: Johnnye (1947), my mother Bobbe (1948), and Kathleen (1951). She was afraid of spiders but loved hummingbirds. She suffered various ailments throughout her adult life, including kidney disease. She barely survived a heart attack in 2004. In the fall of 2005, she and Grandpa moved to a retirement home in Idaho Falls; Grandpa died shortly afterward. A year and a half later, Grandma followed.
