Revolutionary War Continental Brevet Brigadier General, Continental Congressman. Served as Colonel and commander of the 1st New Hampshire Continental Infantry regiment during the Revolutionary War. He was brevetted Brigadier General, Continental Army, by the Continental Congress for his war service. Elected as a Delegate from New Hampshire to the Continental Congress, serving from 1785 to 1786.
