Mrs. Anna Laura Brashear, aged 76, a resident of Norfolk for the past 21 years, died last night at 11 o'clock at the residence of her son-in-law, O.O. Witherspoon, at 501 Carolina avenue.
Mrs. Brashear was a native of Steubenville, Ohio. Surviving are her husband, William Stanton Brashear; two daughters, Mrs. Witherspoon and Mrs. A.S. Hollomon, of Virginia Beach; one son, Maurice J. Brashear, of Hines, Ill.; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East Freemason street, pending funeral arrangements.

In the 1930 census she is living with her daughter Ethel and Ethel's husband Oscar O Witherspoon and lists her name as Laura.
