Mrs. Walter (Ida M. Jones) Laws, 91, of Newton, died Thursday (Sept. 5, 1985) in Newton Rest Haven Nursing Home, Newton.
Services will be Sunday in Pulliam Funeral home, Robinson. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, west of Oblong.
Mrs. Laws was born in Jasper County, daughter of William and Rachel Jones. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Newton, Rebekah Lodge, Newton; Order of White Shrine, Chicago; Ladies Auxiliary Transportation Union, and past worthy matron in Order of Eastern Star, Chicago. She married Walter Laws in 1916. He died in 1943.
Surviving are sons, Joe M. of Mission, Kan.; George W. of Robinson, Capt. Walter T. of Alexandria, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. One son, three brothers, and one grandchild preceded her in death.
