Mabel Baker-Tuscola--Mabel A. Phillips Baker, 102, of Tuscola died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday (July 5, 2001) at her home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St. , Tuscola. The Rev. Clyde Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 28, 1899, at Garrett, a daughter of William and Lucy Mosbarger Rideout. She Married Adrian L. Phillips on June 1, 1918, at Terre Haute, Ind. He died Jan. 23, 1957. She later married Maurice Baker on July 20, 1958, in Tuscola. He died July 4, 1984
Surviving are two sons, Dale Phillips of Tuscola and Larry Phillips of Camargo; two daughters, Dorothy Phillips Rogers of Salem and Dorothy Baker Lytle of Tuscola; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters and a granddaughter.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker. She was a member of Tuscola United Methodist Church, Douglas County Home Extension, the Tuscola Women's Club Bible Department and the Douglas County Farm Bureau.
