Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 20, in Elmwood Cemetery at the 12th Street entrance with U.S. Army military honors.
He was born on Feb. 22, 1927 in Greenwood, the son of Lewis and Inez Mayfield He married Wilma Elliott on Dec. 4, 1948 in Augusta.
His survivors include; Wilma Nadine (Elliott) Mayfield of the home; son, Drew Elliott-Mayfield, and daughter, Jimette Gae Raymond, both of Independence, Mo.; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
