Eleanor was the daughter of Michael Faff, a moulder from the Austro-Hungarian empire, and his wife Catherine Leonhart Faff. She lived in Linden, Union Co., New Jersey as a child, then moved to the Bronx, New York. She was in customer relations and was a banking trust officer.

She married Norman Cosover in the 1930s. They resided in Canaan, Columbia Co., New York in retirement. She was a treasurer of the Canaan Historical Society.

Eleanor was the mother of a daughter. She was a gracious and hospitable woman.

Many thanks to Eileen Sarajak, who so thoughtfully found and photographed Eleanor's gravestone, and to Joann Worthington, who so kindly sponsored this memorial.
