LAST RITES CONDUCTED FOR RESIDENT OF RIALTO
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon in the Colton Knopsnyder & Son chapel for George Sennett Jr., Rialto resident who died Dec. 26 of injuries suffered when struck by a car Christmas Eve.
The Rev. Hugh K. Fulton of the Colton Presbyterian church conducted the rites. Miss Claudia Mae Cooley and Mrs. Paul Meares sang several hymns.
Cremation was at Montecito Memorial park.
A coroner's inquest yesterday morning at the Knopsnyder mortuary resulted in a verdict of "accidental death." On the coroner's jury were C. T. Beach, C. F. Hanover, T. N. McGough, A. L. Line, W. K. Finch, W. F. Sharp and R. W. Kelly.
Mr. Sennett, a World war II veteran, succumbed to head and internal injuries suffered when he was hit by a car said driven by Tony Mendoza, 22, of Riverside. The accident occurred at the corner of Riverside avenue on the old Valley boulevard.
A native of Chicago, Mr. Sennett was 33 years old and had lived in Rialto nine years.

GEORGE SENNETT JR. Funeral services for George Sennett Jr., who died in a San Bernardino hospital Friday following an automobile accident Christmas eve, will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. at the I. M. Knopsnyder & Son chapel in Colton. The Rev. Hugh Fulton will officiate. Cremation will follow in Montecito Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Sennett is survived by his mother, Mrs. Xenia Luka of Chicago; his father, George Sennett of Covina, and a sister, Mrs. Mae James of Louisiana.
